Pride Factor Partners with Abcon Group Foundation for Mandela Centennial Celebrations

Pride Factor is partnering with the Abcon Group Foundation (AGF) to produce a memorable day for the learners at the Hawk Academy School in Germiston commemorating the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s birthday on 18 July.

The school was adopted by the AGF in 2017 and has now grown to 900 pupils ranging from Grade R to Grade 9.

The Mandela Day Centennial Celebration programme includes:

  • Participation in interactive games and competitions with great prizes
  • Drawing and colouring with Doodle Your Future
  • Entertainment by the Evah dance and song group
  • Motivational talks and activities with:
  • Pride Factor founder and MD Dene Botha
  • TV celebrity Candice Modiselle
  • Differently enabled motivator Emily Mombasa
  • Surprise celebrity guest!

The AGF provides transformation solutions to companies by aligning real-life needs for Socio assistance, educational requirements and Enterprise and Supplier Development with the B-BBEE codes of good practice. Although originally founded in the property industry, the AGF is driven to assist all companies with sustainable and meaningful transformation.

The Foundation continues to provide educational support to Hawk Academy, upgrading the school by building additional classrooms for senior grades, adding sports fields and a vegetable garden to assist with the schools feeding scheme programs.

For the historic Mandela Centennial Celebrations on Wednesday 18 July 2018, the Pride Factor life skills academy will be hosting activities and entertainment that inspire, motivate and guide the young future leaders of the country to become the best they can be.
