Pride Factor, founders of the Inspired Youth platform designed to motivate the future leaders of South Africa, are proud to announce that they have been invited to host two of their highly acclaimed motivational and ‘edutainment’ workshops at the upcoming Gauteng Provincial Government’s Youth Careers, Jobs and Entrepreneurship Expo in June.

The 10-day Expo is an annual event aimed at inspiring, guiding, assisting and connecting with tens of thousands of young people from Gauteng in celebration of Youth Month and will be staged at the National Exhibition Centre (Nasrec) in Johannesburg from 9-18 June 2017.

Pride Factor and event production partners’ Liquorish Inc. will be collaborating with the Gauteng Provincial Government, Trace Foundation for Youth Success and the Dare to Share NPO to produce two days of aspirational activities offering free entry for up to 4 000 teenagers at each of the workshops on 10 and 17 June.

With a theme of Entrepreneurship, each Inspired Youth workshop will feature talks, personal insights and audience interaction with a quartet of the country’s most influential role models. These are accompanied by motivational tasks, competitions with valuable prizes, performances by those attending and additional live entertainment.

Role-models already confirmed include international super-star turned professional public speaker Danny K, well known comedian and TV presenter Nina Hastie, SA and African Boxing Union (ABU) Boxing Champion Tulz Mbenge, acclaimed business woman and motivational speaker Romy Heldsinger, TV mogul Alan Ford, “The Fans Choice” TV personality Zekeeya Patel and more.

Hosted by Pride Factor MD, Dene Botha, every participant will leave the interactive workshop with skills that will benefit their everyday life, make a positive impact on their studies and improve their connection with their families and communities.

“We’re thrilled that the Gauteng Provincial Government has again invited us to participate in the Youth Month celebrations,” says Botha. “This is an important time for South Africans to join together in honoring the youth. What better way than by inspiring thousands of teenagers to reach for their dreams and Never give-up!”

The 2017 Youth Careers, Jobs and Entrepreneurship Expo runs from 9-18 June and features hundreds of exhibitors showcasing information from different industries and academic institutions, fashion shows, entertainment, MEC dialogues and a march to commemorate Youth Day on 16 June.

Attendance at the Expo is expected to exceed 10 000 people each day.
